July - September 2008
Mae Hong Son Province.
In the rainy season or the “green season” from June to October, Mae Hong Son turns green and its waterfalls are full of water. However, people usually think that Mae Hong Son is difficult of access as it is a town amidst steep mountains and the road leading to it is notorious for its 1,864 curves. At present, however, transportation is much more convenient with flights between Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son and Between Chiang Mai and Pai.
During this season, an activity popular with adventure lovers is no doubt shooting the rapids in the Pai River. Other interesting activities are such as cruising to enjoy magnificent views and visiting Kaeo Komon Cave, Nam Lot Cave and Phu Khlon. It can be said that the charm of Mae Hong Son in the green season is no less beautiful than in the cool season.
Travellers to Mae Hong Son from July to September 2008 will have a chance to win a lucky draw of big prizes. Conditions are that travellers who receive services from entrepreneurs joining the campaign will get a leaflet and they will be required to fill in the coupon in the leaflet and submit it for a draw.
